Smoking Handmade Cuban Cigars--Now That Is Living! |
| 4/27/2007 4:40:00 PM |

Cuban cigars, humidors, lighters, and other premium accessories really are the hallmarks of fine living. It is true. Nothing says you live the high life like smoking a premium brand of handmade Cuban cigar, whether it is a Montecristo Edmundo, a Montecristo No. 2, a Cohiba Piramide, a Cohiba Rubusto, or a San Cristobal Muralla. International financiers, movie stars,... Read More |

Cork-Lined Humidors? |
| 4/25/2007 4:49:00 PM |
I heard that these were popular in the 20s and 30s. Do you think cork would be a good humidor liner? You wouldn't get the cedar aroma but what about cabinets since cigars would stay in their cedar boxes? I have a cedar box and am looking for a second humidor, but am on a tight budget at the moment. I would like to have a cedar box, but the cork lined box I am looking at is... Read More |

Cuban Cigars Online |
| 4/23/2007 4:52:00 PM |
I have a buddy that has not had many cuban cigars and the only way he can get them is either by going to Mexico and nervously brining them back with him or getting them from friends. I get my cigars from certain vendors online. I usually get them when I travel though. I was just wondering how many of you purchase your cigars online? Or do you bring them back from vacation?... What Is In Your Humidor? |
| 4/19/2007 11:51:00 PM |
I am curious as to what you guys have stored in your humidors? I just purchase a humidor and am looking to start my cigar collection. I just purchased a couple of boxes Bolivar RC, Monte #4, H Uppman #2. So what type of CC inventory do you all have stashed away and what suggestions would you have as to what I should be adding to the collection? I am leaning toward RASS and... Read More |

Reputable Cigar Dealers? |
| 4/18/2007 11:24:00 PM |
I have a friend who is an American that has recently moved to Montreal. He has smoked cigars for 10 years now and have only had about 3 or 4 cubans in his life. I spoke with him the other day and he enjoyed those cubans so much that he has recently began to purchase them weekly and smoke them. The problem is, he is spending about $60 per week on two Bolivar RC's. He is... Read More |

What Is Going To Happen When The Cuban Embargo Ends? |
| 4/17/2007 10:45:00 PM |
So in the beginning of May, I received the new JR Catalogue and on the very front cover, there was the question of what is going to happen when the Cuban embargo ends. I also came across several websites that discuss the embargo ending this year and what effect it will have on domestic cigar sales. I believe that cigars from Nic, Dom, Hon, and elsewhere the prices will... Read More |

What Makes A Cuban Cigar So Outstanding? |
| 4/17/2007 9:27:00 PM |
What makes a great Cuban Cigar?
It should contain these premiere ingredients: dark and flavorful Ligero leaf comes from the top of the plant. These leaves burn slowly and are rolled in the center of the cigar. Next comes Seco, lighter in both color and flavor. Seco leaves are harvested from the center of the tobacco plant. Finally, you need Volado. This is employed for its... Read More |

Cuban Cigars and Nicaraguan Tobacco |
| 4/16/2007 12:00:00 PM |
Hey everyone. I have heard from 2 different non-cuban cigar makers that Cuba has imported Nicaraguan tobacco in the past to make up for the shortages in the Cuban crop. I have never seen or heard of this in any publications, and I do not believe the information. Since the 2 sources I heard this from are not related, I began to question it myself and wonder if there is any... Read More |
