My husband smokes the occasional cigar, and enjoys handmade and high quality cigars. He always says how he would love to have cuban cigars. When he has seen them online, they were extremely expensive, and they are very hard to find. With the trade embargo going on with Cuba, they are illegal in the US. Sometimes you can find cuban cigars online anyway. Many cigar companies say their cigars are parallel to cuban cigars, as close as you can get without them actually being from Cuba. Honduran cigars are supposed to be very close in quality and flavor in the leaves, so my husband smokes them sometimes. Hopefully someday the embargo with Cuba will end so that he can try a cuban cigar. Of course, if we travel and go to Mexico or Canada, cuban cigars can still be found aplenty in both of those countries, so he could buy one there and try it. Legally, US residents are forbidden from buying Cuban cigars in any country they are in, so that might not work out either. Cuban cigars are high quality and are highly desired in the United States still.
