Because my dad smoked when I was growing up I kind of developed an aversion to smoking and tobacco products. Probably a good thing for the longterm but I must say that I have tried cuban cigars and the experience is well worth it.
My friends and I when we lived much closer would often at night go to local resorts and just walk in to the pool area. We were never questioned as long as we behaved fine. People just assume you are staying there and do not ask. Anyway we would go there with some cuban cigars and go to the jacuzzi. We'd have ourselves some drinks and smoke up a little bit to just relax and talk. It was probably one of the most relaxing and fond memories I have with my friends and I see why cuban cigars have the appeal they do - they are a social tool that is meant to be enjoyed slowly and with friends. Unlike their cigarette cousins which are often enjoyed alone and under stress, cigars are a slowly burning, tasty (and healthier) alternative to smoking that I enjoyed trying for the first time.
