What ever happened to the cigar craze we experienced in America about six years ago? I remember it well because at that time I did not have kids and was doing quite a bit of golf. It seemed that every guy and his brother was trying them and learning quickly that Cuban cigars were "the best", but also learning that good things come with a price. Cigar stores were opening up all around, restaurants and bars were investing in cigar humidors and smoke eaters so they could capitalize on the craze. The internet became filled with sites claming to offer the best cigars prices or discount cigars and cigar accessories. I remember taking a trip to Spain and coming back with a coveted box of Montecristo cigars. Then it seemed, as quickly as it came the cigar craze just seemed to fade away. The other day I was at Starbucks having a cup of Jo. Yes a new habit! And I noticed a Large Ambassador Fine Cigars shop next door. I could not help, but think back to some of the relaxing times with a big Cuban cigar and a bottle of red wine. It's a good thing the store was not open, or I might have been tempted. Oh well, there is always the wine. From the bottle and the kids.
