What makes a great Cuban Cigar?
It should contain these premiere ingredients: dark and flavorful Ligero leaf comes from the top of the plant. These leaves burn slowly and are rolled in the center of the cigar. Next comes Seco, lighter in both color and flavor. Seco leaves are harvested from the center of the tobacco plant. Finally, you need Volado. This is employed for its superb burning qualities Volado leaves give almost no flavor to a cigar. These are harvested from the very bottom of the tobacco. All premium cigars are formed by blending combinations of these three leaves. |
